DEKRA Services, Inc. and its affiliate companies (collectively, “DEKRA” or “we” or “us”) respect your privacy and value our relationship with you. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use the DEKRA SMART service or visit the DEKRA Dispatch website (collectively, the "Services"). This policy also describes our practices for using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information. Finally, this policy describes the rights and choices available to you regarding such information.
This policy is not intended to override the terms of any contract you have with us, nor any rights you might have under applicable data privacy laws.
This policy applies to information we collect:

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:
- Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Services may be unavailable.
- Promotional Offers from the Company. If you do not wish to have your e-mail address used by DEKRA to promote our own or our affiliates’ products or services, you can opt-out by unsubscribing to emails that we send to you or at any other time by sending us an e-mail stating your request to If we have sent you a promotional e-mail, you may send us a return e-mail asking to be omitted from future e-mail distributions or by using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of each email. This opt out does not apply to information provided to DEKRA as a result of a product purchase, service experience or other transactions.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information
You may send us an e-mail at to request access to, correct or delete any Personal Information that you have provided to us. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or obligation or cause the information to be incorrect.

Consent to Data Processing Within the United States
These Services are controlled by DEKRA from the United States and are not intended to subject DEKRA to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States. By using the Services, you agree and consent to the transfer, storage and processing of your Personal Information within the US, and that the protection of such information may be different than required under the laws of your residence or location.
California Privacy Rights
Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year information about the customer information we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year (e.g. requests made in 2019 will receive information regarding 2018 sharing activities).
